Description
Paldang Dakbal matjib is always open for people weary and fatigued all through summer.
Opened in Kyunggido Namyangju since 1982, it was recoqnized and loved by many people and has opened its branch in Seoul and in Busan on July..
There are many menus such as Dalbal, Jeyookbokeum, Odolppyeobokeum, gamjajeon, kalguksoo but most of the people order the same food. There’s always a secret recipe in matjib but it’s a bit ironic to know that Ojingo bokeum is more popular than dakbal. In fact, I haven’t seen a table that has ordered dakbal here. As if all the customers made an agreement, everybody were eating ojingobokeum, kalguksoo and jumeokbap juicycool.
Ojinobokeum is served fully in a bowl that looks similar to a bowl for jjajangmyun(Chinese black noodle) together with a rice in bibimbap bowl, kim powder and sanitary glove. You have to sprinkle kim powder into the rice bowl and mix it to make a rice ball. It’s more delicious since it is made on the spot. I give 6 out of 10 for the spice intensity. It was spicier than average spicy tteokbokki(rice cakes in hot sauce). But sweet taste adds to the finish which goes well with the rice ball.
